Moments before she was awarded Best-In-Show on Feb. 16, 2013
Feb. 16, 2013- My 13-month old Weimaraner puppy Willow had a fabulous day at the shows and attained her UKC Championship, then she took a Gun Dog Group 1st and a BEST-IN-SHOW!!! She is now UKC Best-In-Show Champion Sunstar Willow of OwyheeStar, CGC, I am so proud of her!
Leah wrote- "Just a thank you note, that as of november 8th 2012, 12 years ago
my beagle was in your class as a little 1 year old puppy & is still a great
dog thanks to you! :) " What a nice email, Thank You Leah! And to give credit where it is due, I helped guide her and her doggie, but she gets most of the credit as she is the one who kept up on the training all these years! Plus her Beagle is a sweetie too.
Willow attained her CGC on 101512- this is her first title, she is only 9 months and is on her way to a big future, Good Girl!
We went to UKC shows in October 2012- Willow is such a sweetie, she is only 9 months of age but has already taken lots of ribbons and is so charming that she is always endearing to the UKC judges! What a good girl Willow!
Penne writes: "THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for sharing your expertise with me and Radar. I just loved you, Willow and Aspen, and the classes. We are practicing every day and I have added a few tricks to the tasks...and Thank You for all your hard work in keeping the helpless animals safe and sound and your hard work for the Des Moines Police, you are a hero!"
Thanks Penne for such nice words
I have my new Weimaraner show puppy "Sunstar Willow of OwyheeStar" from my friends Shela and Cliff with OwyheeStar Weimaraners in Oregon- she was born Dec. 30, 2011 and I picked her up on Feb. 25, 2012. Please go to the Weimaraner Photo Gallery for lots of pictures of Willow, and Lacee her momma and Dusty her poppa; Lacee is a longhair silver and Dusty is a smooth blue, my puppy Willow is the classic smooth silver like my girl Aspen.
I am very excited to have this new little sweetie, she is the best puppy I could ask for! She already does lots of fun activities like puppy playdates, visiting citizens and businesses with me on duty, and going to the Des Moines Farmers Market on Saturdays. She had her first dog show on July 1st and was a good little girl and got a blue ribbon, and she even gave the judge kisses! We have more shows coming up, so stay tuned for updates!
Susan writes: "Jan is the reason for all our success...she is truly a class act instructor. Last night, even the guy who had the most trouble did real well with his pup - we each took a turn demonstrating some of the training we have done. His pup did great. I would recommend Jan to everyone who brings home a new pup - or has an adult dog who needs to learn a thing or two! """"
Ann writes: "I just wanted to thank you for being such a patient and knowledgeable
instructor with Bartlett (our great dane) during last month's obedience
class. Bart has been doing so much better, and I really feel like we have a
far better bond now that he knows what we want him to do. Being in your class
was truly inspirational - you have an amazing gift both with dogs, and their
owners! I'm so grateful to have had your advice in building a strong
foundation for our pups. Thank you again for what you do. I know my voice speaks for
dozens of class attendees!"
Kathy writes: "The money I spent was well worth the investment last night. You taught some things that I had forgotten, things that I didn’t know, and gave me another view of how things were supposed to be. I want to say that I really appreciate you coming to our home and teaching us all that you did! Thanks again for helping me to take control of this situation, all the tips you gave are helping us get back on track. I am very happy with the outcome!"
